Do you have 2 minutes to help save the spirit of Mother Earth?
Near the Dahn Yoga retreat center in Sedona, AZ, we recently opened a public park dedicated to Mago (the Korean term for the Earth Goddess) and promoting the Earth Citizen concept. The park features a beautiful statue of Mago, as well as 7 statues of various peacemakers and spiritual leaders throughout history and from around the world, who stand in a half circle around the globe. They represent the Oneness of all people and our sincere desire of bringing Peace to the Earth. These statues declare to the world that we are all Earth Citizens, regardless of beliefs, ethnicity, gender, or nationality.
The Mago Earth Park, and the Mago Statue in particular, is historical in that it is the first of its kind to represent the spirit of the Earth and its centrality to all human life. However, there are some groups in the neighboring community, specifically a church near the park, who are fighting the Mago Statue and demanding that we take it down because its concept threatens some of their beliefs.
On January 25th, there will be a town council meeting in which the fate of the Mago Statue will be decided. We have to save it, and save the Earth Citizen spirit! You can support it by signing an online petition, that we will present to the council, showing desire from all over America to have a statue dedicated to our Mother Earth.
Please take 2 minutes and sign the petition! Go to http://www.magoearthpark.net/petition/USA to sign.
Thank you so much!
